I'm an engineer who enjoys the business side as much as the workbench. Through Beers & Bytes I help companies build hardware and software products, and the teams that ship them.
Background
I started on the business side. After studying social sciences in Utrecht and organisation studies in Tilburg, I spent three years at Frisse Blikken as product owner and digital project manager, building online platforms for clients such as ING, ABN AMRO and Radboud University with developers in the Netherlands and Indonesia.
In 2019 I joined 4Industry, a scale-up building software for frontline workers in industry. I grew from product owner to team lead to Head of Engineering, growing engineering from 5 to 30 people across iOS, Android, ServiceNow and QA, with the technical roadmap and budget, as the product went from zero to five enterprise customers. When ServiceNow acquired 4Industry, I stayed on as Engineering Manager and spent two years leading the re-platforming of the product onto ServiceNow's enterprise framework, across three teams.
Alongside the day job I kept building: 3D-printed parts, home automation and apps. In 2026 I started Beers & Bytes to do both sides professionally, and co-founded Wishly, where I design the electronics, firmware and software.
How I work
Hands-on where it matters, with clear communication between engineering and the business, and an honest view on what to build first. I like to bring order to the chaos: a clear roadmap, a rhythm the team can rely on, and progress the business can see.
I'm based in Utrecht and work with startups, scale-ups and industrial companies across the Netherlands, on site when it helps and remotely in between. See the services for the ways we can work together.
